Club Social at the Hare and Hounds Churchdown

  • Pineholt Village Hall Bird Road Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

As the season draws to a close, what better way to reflect and unwind than gathering at the Hare and Hounds for a well-earned celebration? The upcoming meal isn’t just a chance to relax—it's a moment to honour the incredible creativity, dedication, and friendly competition that defined Gloucester Camera Club’s year. Whether it was the thrill of winning, the courage to put a piece forward, or the joy of growing through feedback, every photograph brought something special to the community. Now, with the pressure off and cameras momentarily set aside, it's time to simply enjoy good food, great company, and the shared pride in all that's been achieved.

The Hare and Hounds will no doubt play host to stories retold, laughter rekindled, and perhaps even a few plans quietly sparked for next season. In the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the pub, surrounded by fellow enthusiasts and friends, we celebrate not just what was captured through the lens, but the connections made along the way. Here's to the images that moved us, the judges who challenged us, and the camaraderie that keeps the club’s spirit alive. Let the evening be a tribute to all that was—and a toast to all that’s yet to come.

On this day in history:- 1930 – Amy Johnson Begins Solo Flight to Australia. Her departure and eventual arrival were widely photographed, turning her into a visual icon of female empowerment and aviation history.
