Trish Bloodworth from Stroud Camera Club will be here to give us her insights on our photography.
“Photography critique is about looking closely at an image to understand what’s working, what isn’t, and how it might be improved. It involves both technical elements—like exposure, focus, composition, and lighting—and artistic choices, such as impact, emotion, storytelling, and intent. The goal is to see how effectively the photo communicates its message or achieves what it sets out to do.
I’m not a judge, and I don’t claim to be an expert. What I bring tonight comes from my own learning, practice, and a lot of listening to other people’s feedback over the years. I’ll be sharing my honest thoughts—what I think works, what could be stronger, and yes, I may nitpick. The small stuff often makes a big difference. My hope is that the discussion gives you something useful to take away and apply to your own work.”
